Villeneuve-Loubet / France / 26.06.2019

The sunrise lured us to a stony beach on the French Riviera. It heralded a beautiful cloudless day and a visit to the Rothschild Villa. In the palace of seven gardens among fountains gushing with water to the beat of music flowing from the heavens.

Lanzarote / Spain/ 02.02.2012

Solidified volcanic lava stretches to the horizon. There isn’t a living soul nearby. Like on the moon. Lanzarote, an island in the Canary Islands. Here is where astronauts from ESA tested suits and got used to the view of the silver planet. We are walking on the moon. On solid lava, which from a distance looks like ploughed up black earth soaked in moisture. It’s strange that nothing grows in it. This is supposed to be the landscape of the moon. The sunset lit up the remains of lava scattered over the island. The water has evaporated. We took off our suits and walked on the moon.
Before a morning dip in the sea, my wife and professional partner – Sławka Sadowska – holding the frame.
Each photograph used during the journey stops being luggage, changes its destiny, takes on a new life. It creates a unique travel sack with a story in the background. Always just one. One shot, one sack. Luggage (no excess)
